Annual Family Picnic

Please join us for our Annual Family Picnic for all our PVHMC Associates. It will be held on the infield of the horse track located inside the LA County Fair Grounds! Picnic food & fun will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Come early or come late.... Your picnic ticket also gains you entry into all the fun available at the LA County Fair from 10:00 a.m. to midnight on September 6th. Your ticket affords you one admission into the picnic area. Volunteer ticket request forms may be picked up in the Volunteer Office. Tickets are available for you, your spouse, and dependant children. Associates without a spouse or dependant children may bring one guest. You may purchase additional tickets for extra guests at $28 each. All requests for tickets mus be received in the Volunteer Office by August 7, 2008. Call the Volunteer Office with any questions at (909) 865-9669.

Celebration of Life Service

Please join us for our Celebration of Life Service in remembrance of our Colleagues and Friends at 5:30 p.m. in the Pitzer Auditorium. The service will provide an opportunity to memorialize our co-workers, physicians, volunteers, and members of the Hospital and Foundation Boards of Directors who have served at PVHMC. The Celebration of Life Service will provide and uplifting setting for all of us to reflect with joy and peace on the lives of those who gave of themselves to help others at PVHMC, and who are with us in memory.

Who helps the Caregiver

Join us as dynamic speaker and noted author, Karen Twichell, presents "A Caregiver's Journey" ~ Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center's Women's Center Auditorium ~ 11:30 a.m. ~ A light lunch will be served ~ Cost $5.00 ~ Over one million Americans will become caregivers this year to a loved one with a life-threatening illness. "A Caregiver's Journey" will comfort them and help them through the journey that many face and no one wants to take. RSVP by September 10, 2008. Junior Volunteer Applications Become Available

Applications for high school student volunteers will be available beginning in January of 2009. Students that apply during this time will start volunteering in the summer. Applications can be picked up in the Volunteer Office at the main campus of Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
